Issue 1: (network)

It has very poor 3G network reception. It does
not even accept 3G network with full strength network coverage which is causing
waste to my expensive 3G plan as I am forced to use it at 2G speeds.
·
Even 2G signal reception requires very good to
excellent strength network coverage to even register on the network.
·
There is frequent total network loss (no
coverage).
·
It says
registered on network but no network bars are visible nor is it usable for
calls or data transfer at that time.
·
It also frequently disconnects from the internet
when used with sim card data transfer, causing data wastage due to interrupted
downloads.
·
There is no 3G network related video calling.
·
There is no option to select the network mode
i.e. 2G/3G (GSM/UMTS) or dual mode.
Issue 2: (Battery
& charger)
·
Battery lasts for 3 hours & 28 minutes with
the wifi on for downloading and browsing in airplane (offline) mode with
Bluetooth switched off, with minimum brightness setting of the display &
other tasks killed. This is after the firmware reinstall.
·
Battery standby time was about 13 hours & 30
minutes prior to firmware update, current standby time is about 18 hours &
20 minutes with all antennas off (Bluetooth, wifi & network), all apps
killed and display off with brightness at minimum setting.
·
The charge falls slowly till 67% and there on it
falls fast.
·
The charger tip gives a mild shock every time.
·
It takes about 6 hours & 34 minutes for 100%
charging from 1%
Issue 3:
(Miscellaneous)
·
Multiple games (motion sensor based) legally
downloaded from playstore like racing moto, highway rider, speeding moto etc.
to name a few show the rider to be shaky(wobbly) on default as well as special
setting of the accelerometer. This happens even when the device is laid down on
a flat table surface like a table, undisturbed. The above mentioned games work
very well without the abovementioned problems on other devices that I have at
home.

Multiple games from reputed developers like
Gameloft are said to be incompatible with this device after download from the
playstore. Also the playstore recognises the iberry tablet as a device from
unknown manufacturer.

Internal memory is detected as memory card on
preinstalled software like office suite pro and aldiko. I have to take a
roundabout way to access the external sd card files.
·
Prior to booking, I was informed by some
customer service executive, that the iberry auxus ax03g had A2DP support in the
Bluetooth on specifically asking such a query. However after the usage of the
said device, I have realised that, such is not the case. Hence, kindly advice,
whether such an upgrade (adding A2DP/AVRCP/EDR) is part of a software upgrade
or a hardware upgrade, should such a thing be made available later or now.
Good review,this is the first review i ve seen so far in the net,all the points mentioned by you are accurate,signal reception was ok,it does disconnects frequently but during night time connection was stable and fast(reason not known).Battery lasts only 3-4hrs but if u use apps like setcpu and underclock it(frequency 800mhz and governor-interactive which in my case) battery comes to 5 hours and also battery seems miscalibrated(it doesnt charge to 100% and it discharges fast at some point) so u have to recalibrate it and alos device comes pre-rooted so u can instal any apps.Motion sensor games worked very well for me.Office suit pro which comes pre-installed is version 2.0 so it wont read some files so u update it to recent 6.X.X then u can open all file ofice files.

You are the first person to comment on my blog, so thank you. yes. the battery appears to be calibrated wrongly. well try the motion sensor based ones, i mentioned, you may notice a little wobbly motion (slight side to side motion of the vehicle). games like temple run worked beautifully. also i haven't custom modded it. iberry gave the link to the same firmware and got me to reinstall it. it is a 300MB download and it has all the drivers, firmware files and "how to do it" txt file, required to do this. do not do it if your tablet working well. in some cases, they say, it reduces performance. i did not have my tablet with me for long, so could not do a proper review with all details. these are just some notes i jotted down sitting idly. anyway my tablet has been picked up for repairs and testing. so will keep you updated here. thanks once again for your valuable feedback and comments. keep them coming. the post for the firmware link will be up by this weekend.
ReplyDeleteThe problems you have stated is true except for the batery part... it takes 2 to 2.5 hours max to charge from 1% to 100%...it played 720p movies for 4.5 hours before complete discharge...3.5 hrs on browsing/downloads over wifi.. still my tab does not recognize bsnl/airtel sim.. it does detect reliance/idea sim cards well but 3g speeds are still a dream...and the worst part is playing games like racingmoto...its bad... even after the firmware update, no improvement.. the accelerometer sensor from semiconductor corp is miscalibrated... hope it is a software issue and probably iberry would come up with new update or something....one last thing.. after dropping to 15% charge... within 5 min the tab shuts down saying batery is 5% or less...
ReplyDeleteIt is very much true that Auxus3G is a Flopped one because it wont show signal at all. battery hardly remains for 4 hours and it has to be charged for 5 to 6 hours for 100% . i Have raised a ticket about the signal reception and immediately on the next day Tab was picked up and it got returned yesterday after 8 days without solving any of the problems mentioned by me. if i move the apps to sd card after some time that app will no longer be available in the menu,i need to reinstall the app to work. there will be multiple touches if we connect it to PC and try to use. Hope iberry people do something about signal. even in the heart of the metro city i cant get a signal of airtel. it wont even connect to samsung bluetooth device. did any one tried connecting bluetooth device? please share your experiences
ReplyDelete@ praveen, all the stuff i have written is true. it is my experience, urs may be different. @ manu. i connected my tablet to the nokia bh503 bluetooth headset. i could listen to music using it.
ReplyDeletemany ics userz have mentioned that the recent update of android 4.0.4 is having lot of bugs, especially in draining the battery charge very soon and some wifi/sim network connectivity ... so hopefully new update of Ics or the next android jellybean might rectify the issue... anyhow the news from iberry is their team is working on new firmware to rectify said issues...meanwhile asking them for a pickup for service is of no use as iberry feels there is no problem with their hardware...better have patience and hope for the best....

ReplyDeleteGuys important update. Just after putting tablet for charging my charger EXPLODED with a big sound. Be careful while charging don't just put and leave. fortunately there was no loss in my case. and there was some problem internally occurred because of the blast and iberry people sent a new charger. after 2 days tablet suddenly started showing white screen. when i approached iberry they simply told its a physical damage so do not come under free warranty and i should pay if i want service from them. its simply rubbish tablet got a problem because the charger exploded and they claim that its a physical damage. Buying Auxus it self is big mistake, these cheap tablets never will be useful.

I Too Have a Iberry .3G . The 3 G network is so poor that you might have as well bought the wifi base model instead of spending 10,000 rs for this . Battery after it Reaches 15 % Remains for only 5 Minutes. Can watch movies for about 4 hours continuous.

1. Insert your SIM when the Tablet is turned off. Then switch it on. If it doesn't detect the SIM, restart it again. I am sure it would detect.
ReplyDelete2. If your tablet doesn't capture 3G signals goto: Settings>>More>>Mobile networks and see as if there's NO tick mark against: "Use 2G networks only".
3. The plug of the charger they supply probably doesn't comply with the one's we use in India. Hence it fits lose. Mine just went into a short circuit. I have now opted for USB charging.

And they don't know that when the future update will be....They claim it is the problem with software which i feel its a hardware problem...

So, before buy any product from iberry Be carefull...even i asked for refund my money back or exchange with New CoreX02 or replace but....It's one of the useless product in tab PC market...be carefull!!

DeleteI recently bought iberry CoreX2 3G. It was working fine except the camera. Service center guys picked for service and rectified camera and given the tablet after 10 days. But, after receiving from them 3G network is not getting detected by the tablet. It is very frustrating experience with them and they don't have any clue what could be the issue is. I wasted so many hours of time on trial and error. But, no solution yet. Please don't buy any of the iBerry products.

ReplyDeletebattery gets drain down from 70 % all of a sudden to about 24 %. and it creates a worst case scenario under such situation where you are need it the most. 3G is worst on either networks and many a times sims ain't get recognized. 2MP camera quality performs even worse than a VGA.

I have AX03G since Aug.2012 and having all this problem first of all to use 3g we need 64KB Sim card not normal like Vodafone. Battery problem and other bugs problem they have same reply "We'll solve in update which is not yet come nor any news. BT can connect for media not for call as it's not taking mic because of NO A2DP

Iberry corex4 is my 1st and last online mistake. Ebay is also involved in this fraud. After supplying a complete defective product now ebay persons are not giving responce to my claim. Now the product is also with them and money also. Beaware and dont get trapped.

ReplyDeleteI purchased Auxus AX03 last year from ebay store (tablets_estore)on 29/08/12 and found that this product is not upto the expectations,its battery was never lasted more that 2 hours and after 2-3 months it started discharging within few min.
Today after 7-8 months of purchase when my tab was not used for last 10 days (Not even i charged that in 10days) i found its battery inflated and cover has popped out even in non charging state.
I contacted iberry support and they are saying that it comes under physical damage (Even i havent done any physical damage to it!) and i will need to bear its (battery) cost Rs.1700+ charges,though its their fault of providing poor quality battery which might have caused explosion in my home,this is totally cheating by iberry company selling poor china made tablets.
My suggestion to all friends never buy any table from such company who are cheating buyers!
I purchase core x2 recently and facing strange issue that SD card pops up message 5-6 times a day "SD card removed" & next moment displays "SD Card mounted", without doing any activity on tablet. Sometimes this error loops continously to 100-200 times, I have even tried with multiple SD card, all are reporting the same issue. Application used for recording the logs" SD Card Monitor" from play store & the SD is 32GB Class 10 Strotium card.

ReplyDeletei bought Iberry Core X2 3G, totally waste tablet! my recommendation not to buy this tablet any more! though it has a full charge it will go to sleep mode and then it will automatically switched off! to switch on this tab i need to press the power button atleast 15 minutes, some time it will take more than 1 hour some time it wont switch on even for a day! suddenly all data in memory card and the application installed in memory card will disappear after restarting several times it will show and run program which is installed in memory card, sim card useless and ring will not be audible no ear piece, 3.5mm jack is also not working while we use phone! batter back is too worsen! camera is utter flap. they are not capable for tablet manufacturing! from day 1 i am facing problem!

ReplyDeleteAm really irritated with their customer service. they are charging hefty amount for single single parts like battery and screen. they are like frauds who are luring the customer with unreliable specs. the hardware is thirds class. they ask you to courier and have to bear the courier charge which come around 300rs. under warranty. sucha shit thing they do. these idiots have only one service centre in india. are they mad???
ReplyDeleteBattery died out so ordered online. Accidently ordered 2pcs. when I was replacing the battery I realised both batteries could fit into the tablet so I fitted both in parallel. Now I have 7-8hrs continuous usage.
